My Ribs

When I was in third grade I developed a primarily psychological disorder in which I felt chest in and in in my ribs. I didn't injure them I just can't remember why but I do remember how my mother made it worse. One day I was in the kitchen getting ice cream and my father said "have enough? Hahahah'? to which I replied "Shut up." I went ahead and finished getting my ice cream and went to my room. Less than a minute later my mother slams the door open and I was leaning back in my chair, she grabbed it and flung me to the ground. Apparently my father went directly to my mother and she was to inflict the punishment. The chair fall wasn't what caused the injury in this case. After a couple hours I forgot I was to stay in my room, so went to the kitchen to throw away my drink bottle it was Dr. Pepper. On my way back to my room my mother stopped me and said "What are you doing out of your room." And before I could respond "I forgot", she flung me into the chair that I sat at to play piano directly on my ribs bruising them. I was nine years old so couldn't defend myself, she was larger, but anyways from this incident I had psychological in in my ribs to the degree that we went to see my general practitioner and he suggested a bandage type wrap to be worn 24/7. I think this was something like a weighted blanket and was to provide comfort in the sense it was compressed and wrapped around my upper body completely. Another method of comfort was my doctor prescribed an inhaler I could take any time. Again these were just comfort items for the psychological component to which I kept on and using for over a year. I eventually took the wrap off on my birthday in 2001allowing me to play basketball and engage in physical activity for the first time in a long time. When I had the wrap on I wasn't allowed to play sports or play at recess. It wasn't that bad, I was able to do the day's homework at recess or read a book to get ahead in that AR Points. The teachers also allowed me to play my Gameboy after doing my homework outside at the playground which I had done months' prior after tearing a ligament in my ankle/
